XLRI signs MoU with Thailand’s Asian Institute of Technology

Jamshedpur based Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) has signed an MoU with School Of Management, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand.

With this, XLRI can look forward to student exchanges, research projects and other areas of cooperation.

Says a XLRI news release: “XLRI realizes the importance of overcoming the physical and mental boundaries set by nations. The tie-up is aimed at promoting cross-cultural learning and international cooperation. The exchange of ideas and views on political, social, economic and legal issues would help the participants.”

AIT is one of the premier autonomous international institutions which provide advanced education in engineering, science, planning and management. The School Of Management -- in the outskirts of Bangkok -- was founded in 1987, and has on its board eminent Indians like Mr. Narayana Murthy of Infosys, Mr. Mahesh B Lal of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Prof. I M Pandey who is the Dean.

For XLRI, this partnership comes after successful tie-ups with many other institutes like AIM (Philippines), UAMS (Belgium), EM Lyon (France), Malardalen University (Sweden), RMIT University (Australia) and Loyola School of Business, Chicago (US).
