Feel the thump with Bengali bands

Jamshedpur, Oct. 5: Puja is incomplete without beats, dance, adda and fun.

Keeping up with the true spirit of Durga Puja, various committees have invited Bengali bands to perform live at the pandals.

Two Bengali bands who would be making the crowd swing to their tunes are Shahurey Baul and Psycho. While the former would keep the mood up at Northern Town and Circuit House Area Durga Puja Committee, Psycho will be enthralling the audience at Jamshedpur Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee.

State films set for Calcutta debut

Jamshedpur, Sept. 22: Chetna Biswas, hailing from the steel city, is one of the many looking forward to the 14th Kolkata Film Festival in November this year. For, this would be the first time when two films from the state would be screened at the event.

Cultural evening in steel city on cards

Jamshedpur, Sept. 11: Jamshedpur Forum, a socio-cultural organisation in Calcutta, would organise a cultural event on September 14 at Rabindra Bhavan auditorium.

The event is being organised to celebrate the forum’s silver jubilee this year and Tata Steel’s centenary celebrations. A documentary on Homage to Tata by Amalan Kumar Bose, the joint secretary of Jamshedpur Forum, would be shown at the cultural evening.

Ashutosh, Imtiaz Ali...next is what?

Bollywood suddenly seems to be Kolkata bound. So it seems.

Farhan Akhtar will be shooting his next film in Kolkata. Ashutosh Gowariker has done his recce for the film on Surya Sen. And now comes the news that Jab We Met director Imtiaz Ali will be in town from September 1 to shoot his third feature film after Socha Na Tha and Jab We Met.

The as-yet-untitled film is a contemporary love story that has Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead. While Saif will be in town from September 3 to shoot for the film, Deepika, however, will give Kolkata a miss.

Reviving glory days of theatre - Children stage three-day Drama festival

Jamshedpur, Aug. 22: The need of the hour is to revive theatre in the country and the Theatre Artistes of Jamshedpur wants to do it through schoolchildren.

The ninth Children’s Drama festival organised by Theatre Artistes of Jamshedpur started in the steel city with 15 schools and theatre groups participating in it and acting out dramas of Rabindranath Tagore, Jaynandan, Charles Dickens and Panchatantra stories.

The plays are being staged in three languages - English, Hindi and Bengali.

Schoolchildren from Classes IV to X would act out the plays during the three-day fest.

Smriti Irani is Back In KKSBKBT

Its time to celebrate friends. Our Favourite star "bahu" Tulsi i.e 'Smriti Irani' is back in 'Kyun Ki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi' (KKSBKBT ). She will play the character of 'Tulsi' again. Gautami Kapoor will be replaced by Smriti in the coming days. According to news paper reports there was some problem between Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani and Ekta compalined that Smriti was busy showcasing her Inhouse production "Thodi Si Zammen Thoda Sa Aasman ", "Virudh ", & "Mere Apne " and could not give time for 'Kyun Ki'.

As a person he is cool, calm, self disciplined and very committed to his work. He is never late for his work and always gives his best. His look was very realistic in the movie " Bhagat Singh ". His long hairs and beard were original.

Vijay Singh Deol (born 27 January 1967) popularly known as Bobby Deol, is a Hindi movies actor. He was born in Mumbai, India, to legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra and famous actor Sunny Deol is his elder brother.

Acting career
When he was 10 years old he made a very brief appearance in the 1977 movie Dharam Veer where he played the younger version of his father's character.
