Sakchi

The heart of the city, with the main markets and a few residential areas. It is also the oldest part of the city and many bulidings have older architecture. Originally, the village at which Jamshedpur was founded was also called Sakchi. The Chain Hotels, Ganga International and Ganga Regency are situated in Sakchi.
