Koushik Chatterjee, Group CFO, Tata Steel, speaking on the business of the company, said the company’s standalone debt-equity ratio was at less than 1. He added there would be no increase in interest rates from restructuring debt covenants.
Chatterjee further said that the company would add additional three million tonne capacity at Jamshedpur in FY11. The EBIDTA from Jamshedpur plant, he said, was over 30% even in tough times. He, however, said the company did need to beef up EBIDTA further to sustain and repay its debt.
