Tanushree to showcase her acting talent in APARTMENT!

The 'bong' beauty from the steel city of Jamshedpur, Tanushree Dutta, has had a long struggle in Bollywood in order to establish herself as one of the frontline actresses and has been more in the news for all the wrong reasons. So, it comes as a pleasant surprise to hear from the lady that she is finally getting a chance to showcase her acting potential.

As per Tanu, she is really looking forward to her next film, APARTMENT, which is being directed by Jagmohan Mundra. An internationally famous director, Mundra is known for his socially relevant and hard hitting films like Aishwarya Rai's PROVOKED and Nandita Das's BAWANDER.

APARTMENT is a suspense thriller but Tanushree is confident of putting up a good show here. When asked about the scope of acting in thrillers, Tanu explains that a good director leaves his mark in any kind of film and gives enough inspiration for actors to perform. She says that APARTMENT is a very appealing film and the treatment of the subject is very different from how thrillers are normally handled in Bollywood. So, she is pretty confident of making a mark as an actress of substance, rather than just a glamorous, item girl tag which she honestly admits is important for actresses, as it is a pre-requisite for a hit show. But like all other actresses, she too wants to be remembered as a talented actress.

Well, seeing the kind of performances Jagmohan Mundra had extracted out of Aishwarya and Nandita, we are sure that Tanushree's claim is not unfounded!
