Asian Games gold medallist runner Pinky Pramanik was seriously injured in a road accident near Suisa village, about 70 km from Purulia in West Bengal. Pinky was returning home at Bagmundi village after inaugurating the Purulia Athletics Championship when her car collided with a lorry. She is undergoing treatment at the Tata hospital in Jamshedpur, police said. “Pinky’s condition remains very critical,” hospital sources said.
Jeev, Shiv tied 54th
Jeev Milkha Singh and Shiv Kapur turned in matching 72s to move two places up at tied 54th after the third round of Abu Dhabi Open. Jeev birdied the 10th and 18th hole with a lone bogey at the 16th, He then picked up a birdie on the first but a ninth-hole double bogey meant that he finished level-par.
