Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Feb 5 (PTI) The bandh called by Maoists to protest the proposed Green Hunt Operation and worsening law and order situation in East Singhbhum district today evoked mixed response.
Majority of shops and markets in Maoist-affected pockets of the district including Dumaria, Bodam, Potka remained closed and life in and around the steel city here remained unaffected, police said.
Sub-divisional police officer (Ghatsila) Anup Birheray said no untoward incident was reported. The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements as it took no chances on the security issue.
