JAMSHEDPUR: Corporate Ispat Alloys (CIAL), a unit of Abhijeet Group, is expected to start production of steel from its 2.5-million tonne capacity integrated steel plant being set up in Saraikela-Kharswan district in the next two years.
A ground breaking ceremony of the proposed integrated steel plant was performed on last Friday in the presence of its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Arun Gupta. The company, to be set up at a cost of around Rs 9000 crore, will start production in next two years, company's chief Public Relation Manager, Mr Rakesh Ranjan said on Tuesday.
The company aims to produce 0.7 million tonnes in the first phase, which would be enhanced to 2.5 million tonne in the second phase, he said, adding optimum production was expected in four years. Currently, the civil work on the site has began, he said. - PTI
