Dhanbad, Oct 22 (PTI) Another batting failure saw Bengal suffer their second successive loss, a seven-wicket defeat to Jharkhand in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament (East Zone) at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Choosing to field, Jharkhand restricted Bengal to 95 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs as Sunny Gupta (2 for 15) and Varun Aaron (2 for 21) rattled the visiting side top order.
In reply, Jharkhand romped home in 18.3 overs with skipper Saurabh Tiwary hitting 44. Rajiv Kumar remained 31 not out as Jharkhand reached the target after losing three wickets.
Having lost to Assam yesterday, Bengal are yet to open their account, while Jharkhand now have eight points from two matches.
