Ranchi: Five Naxals have been arrested in Jharkhand in connection with the brutal beheading of Jharkhand Police officer Francis Induwar
The Naxals, including two women, were arrested by the Jharkhand Police from the Khunti district on Thursday evening.
Reports say one of them, Gobardhan Munda, confessed to being part of the plot to kill Induwar.
All those arrested are reported to be CPI(Maoist) cadres. All of them were arrested from Munda's house at Surakocha under Arki police station of Khunti district.
However, one Naxal leader managed to escape.
Induwar, a Special Branch Inspector, was abducted and beheaded on September 30, 2009 and his mutilated body was found October 5 on a highway.
Naxal leader Kundan Pahan was allegedly involved in the abduction and beheading of Induwar.
