At least 13 people, including three women and two children, were killed after they were struck by lightning in various parts of Jharkhand, an official said Monday.
In the last two days since Sunday, four people were killed in Palamau, three in Giridih, two in Garwah and one each in Gumla, Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Hazaribagh, the official said.
Also, nine people were injured in the lightning incidents, the official said.
Last year, more than 60 people died due to lightning strikes in the state.
