Kerala Samajam High School, Jamshedpur
The Kerala Samajam, a registered society was born in 1939, out of an aspiration to create a network and identity of the people from the state and residing in the city. The school was founded in 1965 by Mr K M Abraham, Education Officer, Tata Steel. The turnaround came in 1980s, with the taking over of the reins by Mr. A P R Nair, the current Chairman of the school.
Founded in the year 1980, Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Jamshedpur, is an English medium co-educational institution today. The school is affiliated to the ISC Council, New Delhi and is managed by a Board of Trustees (under the aegis of Kerala Samajam, a Society registered under the ‘Societies Registration Act, 1976).
For KSMS it was a humble beginning with a student strength of 72. With a dedicated and qualified teaching staff, good results and a sound infrastructure KSMS became a ‘Plus Two School ‘with 3487 students today. It is now ranked among the best co-ed schools in the Steel city with a passion to realize its dreams.
