A housing colony constructed by the state government is situated here. A majority of the people living here work at the Tata Motors factory, located nearby. The area is close to Tata Motors, the Tata Power plant, the Lafarge Cement plant and lies on the way to the Rakkha Copper Project and Jadugoda Uranium Mines.
