Cold wave disrupts normal life in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur (PTI): Normal life of people here has been affected with the steel city and surrounding areas experiencing the coldest days of the season.

The minimum temperature recorded Monday and Tuesday remained the same at 5 degree celsius, 7 degree below normal while the maximum temperature registered on Tuesday was 25.7 degree celsius, Met office sources said.

The cold wave conditions were likely to persist for the next two days, they said.

The steel city had registered its lowest temperature of 4.8 degree celsius on December 24, 2004.

With people preferring to stay indoors, normal life was affected in the area.

However, no casualty has been reported due to the cold, officials said
