Parivaar is a humanitarian organisation, based in 24 Parganas (S), West Bengal headquartered at Parivaar Ashram, Village- Barkalikapur, P.O. Bakhrahat, District 24 Parganas (South), West Bengal. The Asur are one of the primitive tribal groups of the Jharkhand state. They are found in the districts of Gumla, Lohardaga, Palamau and Latehar of the recently created Jharkhand state. They have been iron-smelters. The modern Asur tribe is divided into three sub-tribal divisions, namely Bir(Kol) Asur, Birjia Asur and Agaria Asur. The Birjia are recognized as a separate schedule tribe which come under the P.T.Gs.

The availability of Coal in abundance makes Jharkhand an ideal state for setting up Thermal Power Plants at the Coal Pits. With the abolition of freight-equalization, there is tremendous cost advantage in setting up thermal power plants at the Coal pit itself.

Jharkhand has very few celebrities. Now. Or ever.

It is not surprising then that the day Mahendra Singh Dhoni returns to Ranchi, Jharkhand's capital, it goes dizzy with excitement.

The moment his plane lands he is chased from the airport by an army of television cameras and ardent fans. Everyone, old friends and new admirers, want to meet him.
