Journey to the ancient world

Jamshedpur, Feb. 1: City-based entrepreneur Bikas Mukherjee is on a mission to conduct a research on ancient civilisations and plans to put together his findings in shape of a book titled Uncivilised Civilisation.

The book is expected to hit the market in a year.

The entrepreneur will visit various countries across the globe to carry out a detailed survey of the extinct and contemporary civilisations.

Managing director Auto Profile Company Private Limited, Mukherjee, said: “I am amused by the progress made by relatively new civilisations over the ancient ones. This is what has prompted me to conduct a detailed survey on the civilisations and put the finding before the world through my book.”

“Chinese, Indus Valley and Egyptian civilisations lag behind the European and American ones. Though these civilisations are comparatively new, they have made far greater progress in many aspects,” pointed out Mukherjee.

According to the entrepreneur, his book will unearth the common mistakes that the old civilisations made.

The entrepreneur is going on a tour of Mexico, Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Argentina from February 6 onward. Last year, he had visited Egypt and China for his research. He also plans to go on a trip to England and America.

He also plans to visit various places in India and Pakistan to conduct a survey on the Indus Valley Civilisation.

However, Mukherjee is not a first-timer as far as authoring a book is concerned. He already has a book titled World War II to his credit, which he had penned down a few years back. “Though I am a science student, history has always beckoned me,” he said .

Mukherjee started off his career as an entrepreneur with Ajanta Composite Plant in 1993. His other ventures such as Auto Profile, Apex Auto and Oracle Auto are based in Adityapur industrial area.

The author has also tried his hands in politics also. Mukherjee contested the by-poll for Jamshedpur parliamentary seat last year on a ticket of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic).
