BJP places privilege notice in RS over Jharkhand violence

New Delhi, Feb 14 Terming as"barbaric"the lathicharge on a group of BJP protestors led by former union minister Yashwant Sinha by Jharkhand police in Ranchi, the main opposition party has raised the matter in Parliament through a breach of privilege notice.
Sinha, a party MP who was back in Delhi today, told reporters that the lathi-charge could not have come without orders from Governor Syed Sibte Razi.

Razi, he alleged, was working at the behst of the UPA government at the Centre since the state came under President&aposs Rule last month.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP S S Ahluwalia has placed a breach of privilege notice in the Upper House.

"I am a recognisable face in Jharkhand and to attack me in this manner shows I was targetted. This is worse than the rule of Nadir Shah. This is not acceptable," Sinha said.
