Jamshedpur, Dec. 31: The death of a 10-year-old girl in a fogging machine accident has prompted the BJP to go on an offensive against the government.
The party has demanded action against Mango civic body employees within 24 hours. If the government fails to do so, members have threatened an agitation.
Komal Kumari, a resident of Rajendra Nagar in Mango, succumbed to burns after a fogging machine fire on December 22.
Komal, an RVS Academy student, died on December 29 at Tata Main Hospital’s burn care unit.
BJP activists said despite a written complaint by the father of the victim, the Ulidih police have failed to initiate action against the culprits till now.
According to them, the officials are responsible for the death of the girl.
“The Ulidih police have not even filed an FIR against the accused, who have been identified by the victim’s relatives,” BJP Mango unit president Vikas Singh said.
