Andhra Pradesh foundation day celebrated in Jamshedpur |

Jamshedpur, Nov 01: The Telugu community of the Steel City here on Saturday celebrated the 55th foundation day of Andhra Pradesh with pomp and fanfare.
Various programmes have been organised to mark the occasion at different places of the steel city.
P V T Rao, president of Andhra Association said the school children of the Andhra Association School in Kadma have paid floral tribute to the 'amarjeevi' (immortal) Potti Sriramulu, the founder of Andhra Rashtram in 1953.
Later, he said, Andhra Rashtram was rechristened as Andhra pradesh in 1956 with Hyderabad as its capital.
Rao said Andhraites of the Steel City would chalk out programmes to promote Telugu language in this part of the state. A cultural programme was also arranged.
About 70,000 Telugu speaking people live in the Steel city and its vicinity.
