Jharkhand state boxing championship starts 30 Nov 2011

Kamani Memorial Cup 7th Jharkhand State Boxing Championship will begin at JRD Tata Sports complex here on 30 November in Jamshedpur

A total of 247 pugilists including 40 women from 20 districts and four institutes including South Eastern Railway Boxing Club at Chakradharpur, Tata Boxing Centre and Tata Urban Services will vie for top honour during the three-day meet, Anand Sen President of Jharkhand Boxing Association (JBA) said here today.

Addressing a press conference, he said the competition will take place in ten weight categories for senior and junior men and women sections. He said the bouts will be conducted by 35 neutral refrees from Indian Boxing Federation.
