Jamshedpur Women's College (JWC) get postal stamp released to celebrate 60th anniversary
Jamshedpur Women's College (JWC) has been honored by postal department to mark 60th anniversary. Jamshedpur Women's College is the first educational institution in Jharkhand statte to have postage stamp issued with its image. "The postal department has agreed to our proposal and the stamp will be released to mark the opening of a year-long celebration," said JWC principal, Dr Shukla Mohanty. "It's an honour for the college, which is one of the oldest educational institutions of the state," said the principal.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Shri Arjun Munda has just announced that the Government is working on a bill aimed at providing Right to Food - a step further than the central government's upcoming Food Security Bill. "We are planning to launch a Right to Food Act in Jharkhand so that every individual and child can have access to quality food," said Munda. Arjun Munda was at Ramdas Bhatta Community Centre to inaugurate Jharkhand's first centralized kitchen to provide food for the midday meal scheme.
